Instant’s planned entry into the crowded pod-based coffee category came with an expectation that we address the environmental impact of single-use plastics. Recognizing consumer’s needs for convenience and their awareness of the disposable pod problem, we carved out a unique space with the Instant Solo. Beyond brewing conventional and biodegradable plastic pods, it can also brew freshly ground coffee using a refillable pod. Refillable pods have been around for a long time, but this unit senses the refillable pod to trigger a customizable brewing algorithm for optimal performance, adjusting brew strength, duration, and bloom time tailored to suit the degree of grind.
